Doing great, thanks! So much has happened since we've last chatted. I'm on hiatus from the game just at the moment due to the recent flood of toxicity to the servers (lots of tryhards and jerks rather than decent people, basically, they're not even any fun to kill). I'd like to pick back up again maybe after New Year's. Basically been playing casually ever since you left, lol.
How's life? Up for a game sometime? I hear there are some major updates coming at long last that I'm pretty hyped for! If you haven't touched BBG in years, I'd be happy to catch you up on what's new and worth buying sometime if you'd like.
Actually I was mostly referring to the in-game lobbies. About a month or so ago, it felt like you couldn't get into a game without at least one person who would be a complete drag. Maybe things are better now, I'll pop in today or tomorrow if I can between last-minute Christmas shopping.
Congrats! I'm glad the game feels at least a little less P2W now. :) Yes, I still love the good old speedy Riggs, along with every other set in the game now. For the past couple years I put myself through rigorous training so that I could master every class and weapon in order to give better loadout and balancing advice, now I'm a jack-of-all-trades. Basically, I wanted to be able to be a decent coach for any playstyle if possible, and it took a long time to be able to say I can feel comfortable with anything.
The toxicity might spill over soon though since BBG's getting new social features soon. That should be fun! :P Looking forward to hopefully meeting up soon! :) I need to get back on Discord so we can coordinate.
Double Rainbow's brutal to use, as one of the most underpowered weapons in the game. Its AoE and damage output make it completely non-viable in comparison to other close-range weapons such as Static Shuffle, which is focused and deadly. However, you may be able to enjoy moderate success by using it in tandem with other weaponry and specials. Iron Curtain works well in guarding your advances with it, and Slo-Mo Field can prevent opponents' escape from its damaging AoE. Explosions equipment is a must, of course. It's best used with flanking and tight areas with lots of enemies, but you can also use it repeatedly while dancing around an opponent and watch their frustration build as they accumulate damage.
Basically it's useful only if you're feeling hardcore. I've actually managed to win some games with it and hold my own against pros for a little bit, but that's by playing very defensively and cautiously. In its current state, you really can't expect to do better than pretty good with it in a game even if you practiced like crazy. Here's hoping it gets buffed soon!
