Just checked your profile - September 2012 and beta tester, nice!!! I was the laziest tester ever, never made any official bug reports and just enjoyed the sneak peeks/private matches with forum people, lol.
Hey, it's great that AMD is finally catching up so we can have an actual competitive market going. My logic for choosing the seemingly underwhelming Kaby Lake was for its high speed in gaming and single threaded stuff, and with hyperthreading to help out, it'll be more than enough multitasking power to meet my needs. Nothing against Ryzen, of course; while Intel was sitting on their butts AMD's the one making real progress.
Sticking with 7 and then opting for Linux when support for Win7 ends in 2020, because I don't want that telemetry and DRM crap in my computer. Microsoft is the evilest tech company in the world right now.
Double tap still exists you go to settings and select it lol
Also does anyone know how to unlock an ipod from connecting it to a computer to look at the photos since the ipod is totally broken and is the only device that exists in your possession that has any possible screenshots of BBR?
"Unlock" an iPod? Is it passcode locked? Yikes, I remember trying to break into this one device that was permalocked a while back and it didn't go too hot. Apparently the U.S. military uses Apple electronics precisely because the passcode encryption is so tough. Have you tried tons of guesswork and variations on what you remember already?
The older UI was the coolest for sure, I was never a fan of the green line design to begin with in BBR's tutorial. Being a Demo main was very hard work back then too, since Demo was the most underpowered class and with friendly fire on, catching teammates in the Dark Matter blasts was a very common way to lose yourself a lot of points. Now that I stop and think about it, I can see why my six-year-younger-self thought this game was worth screenshotting.
Heya Smitz!! Thanks for asking, college is going great so far. The Bearacks actually helped give me some direction for my education, lol! Today's kind of a busy day but I'll be sure to leave a full reply to your thread soon. I only play BBG casually now and mostly lurk the forums, but it's always a fun game to come back to and unwind with when things aren't super busy. Thanks for stopping by, bro! :D
Holy crap, sorry dude, if I recognized you at the time I would have truced!! I was screwing around for both matches, but then in the second game that full opposing team of prolivers got so boring that I was kinda half asleep at the time, so I'm sorry I wasn't a better teammate. GGs, hope to bump into you again sometime! :) PM me if you'd like to meet up again too!
Graham is often friggin deadly against teams of meta classes when you have a strong enough team backing you! Get those traps/turrets going and the enemy team will quickly run out of options. Who is the war with?
SR asked me to play for them in war and since Rv is dead totally i decided to
SR vs 4S 2 totally unknown kik clans that no one will know in a months time or less
Also i'm using turrets as well so i can cover mid and their mini health in 1 go, along with muskit it becomes a super trap of death at mid where i 2 shot olivers on 1 side and do ridiculous damage on the other with my team and turrets.
@Dujuran Nice!! Lots of people think Graham is useless outside of his OP weapons. He's situational and has a wildly different playstyle revolving around defense, baiting, and placement of allies and enemies. If he gets buffed, it needs to be in ways that benefit his unique playstyle.
@Gold44 Totally! I'll bring some more interesting sets next time! :)
Hi Lachy, welcome back! I play casually nowadays, experimenting with a wide variety of loadouts and trying to help or coach anyone who's interested. Maybe try reinstalling the game and playing on a different Wifi network/on mobile service to see if it works for you.
It's a challenge trying to run an old-school, casual, small, mature (in the behavior sense, not the content), and NOT a colorful-overhyped-madness sort of server in this kind of environment nowadays. I mean, heck, that's two (Bearacks being the first) of my tributes to games that I love being gradually dismantled by corporate forces that are out of anyone's control. I'm honestly scared to pick up any new major online games nowadays, because if I ever go all in again on another title, it'll probably meet an ugly end when corporate crap finally hits the fan.
I thought I was safe at the time when I started both my Minecraft server and the Bearacks, because both were owned by formerly friendly and vibrant indie companies. xD Just kinda funny looking back now at almost 3 in the morning; there was no indication given that either would eventually badly fail at the time, so it's hard to regret the time investments!
My friend and I just had a blast hanging out for hours on my server tonight. An old member who hadn't visited in almost a year happened to return, and we all built a giant replica of Dr. Eggman's logo over what will soon be a land purged of all wildlife and turned into a desecrated mechanized husk of its former beauty, in order to extend my own group's power to wage war with the neighboring mushroom city-state. Despite faithfully keeping a server running for so many years, I still wouldn't call myself a Minecraft fan - I never felt the need to parade a creeper shirt around or something, because it took my server almost no time at all to begin reinterpreting the core game in our own way, like every other old server of the time.
Oh shoot, didn't know it was you, sorry for trollin around with the modified Sundowner set. At least I was testing Lightning Bolt instead of the usual Bass Cannon. xD GG regardless, you were a good Huggy!
Finally got around to playing with them. Ahh, deliciously old school, I love it! :D Still have yet to test for OP/UPness and the like, but even if the old Heavy sets aren't top of the heap anymore, it's a lot of fun to get that same 2011/12 feel again.
well eh back then had a DPS of 60 because it had 6 DPB, now it has 5 dpb and in return 50 DPS.
it's still good tho since it's not like 50 DPS is bad especially for the accuracy compared to other miniguns and reload in general.
Didn't say it was exactly old school, but it at least feels old school with current dispersion, reload time, spinup, cooldown, ammo, etc. No longer blatantly OP too, thank goodness. Favorite old timey set: EH, SP, SwordnStone/Huggy Gloves, Ammo, Speed.
Nothing pertaining to the holiday went on for me. (Besides the booble bers form thing) I did however go to my favorite restaurant. Went to the mall where I live, and played a racing game with my brother at its arcade. How was your April Fools day?
Dang, that's more fun than my day! Mine was mostly filled with boring life stuff, but I did have some friends over to binge together on the Vive as usual which was a lot of fun. Also had fun trolling the peeps on my Minecraft server by making the animals go berserk whenever you hit them, and they'd swarm you with the speed and ferocity of hard mode Zombie Pigmen. Really wishing I got a video of it for you!
Crazy thought, but since Unity can do VR stuff very well, it would be so stinking cool to get a VR version of BB Gold. The game's already there and in the perfect engine for it, and the movement's not too terribly fast to induce motion sickness, so it would just take some control reworking and such. Too bad SkyVu's only focusing on mobile VR, not high-end!
I can only imagine the looks on the players' faces when they hit an animal, like a cow, or something else of that nature, and then it hit back XD
I suppose having BBG on VR would be kinda cool. Not really into the whole VR thing.
What is Vive?
^ Ikr. I was so proud to be one of the first of a tiny handful of diamonds back in version 1.2, and it's only gotten easier since. The rank system is either too difficult or too easy, and has always been glitchy from the start. I do miss running the Bearacks' unofficial leaderboard, it usually gave a better ballpark of players' skill vs. other pros, and you couldn't just grind skill off of nubs.
You too!?! My heart always started racing so much whenever I'd see another diamond or forum pro; the number one reason for losing a match back then was either sheer adrenaline causing me to either slip up my aim or just plain slip due to sweat on the screen. xD You were a very strong player too, those old games were always extremely close and exciting!
And whenever i see a pro i just think "hey this might not be that boring" i don't like being good when there's only decents around.
Sounds like i have an ego and i wish it was but no it's actually what bbg is to me now
At the time when ZX was up and running maybe 3years ago, you'd often get games of fully stacked players in random queue and you'd randomly be thrown into a game of chaos and excitement because you know all these guys and you know that they're good.
Then there's that one level 12 that is still walking off of the map :)
Yeah it is more fun and challenging since i have to calculate more plays but still basic skills are too poor to be a match, whenever people say someone is on my level or above they always either play cheap, aren't that good or lack a certain skill making them boring and no fun to play against.
Hoh-leeee crap. They did it. THEY ACTUALLY DID IT. From the days of watching the earliest anime as a preschooler, all this time, they've been destined to blast off again hundreds of times over the past 20 years. UNTIL TODAY!
Even if they were owned a few seconds later, they legit beat Ash in a Pokemon battle with no cheating or gadgets, just Pokemon on Pokemon. After having mostly stopped caring about Pokemon years ago and having not watched the anime since the Kanto days, this feels sort of surreal to watch. Whatever the circumstances, let's give it up for the most needlessly persistent gang of all time's first victory.
Hey, we played a few days ago (I was using Astoria and you and other two guys were on the red team). I had seen your name in other places (mainly everyplay and the wiki, back in the day) but I actually didn't recall ever playing with you. GG, you're scary good.
Thanks very much for the compliment, and GG to you as well! :D Out of curiosity, what loadouts/classes was I using that match? I've been doing tons of balance testing and training for various weapons lately, so I could use any feedback to help pinpoint a weapon's potency.
Pfft, oh yeah, that was a pretty rough game for me if I remember correctly, the Bubble Gun is pretty underpowered and the new Provo feels really weird. xD Also GG just now! I was testing some different Capital Pains sets today to see how it stacks up in different situations, so thanks very much for the fun game (and for switching to an eerily similar set yourself, that surprised me big time)!
GG. I had no idea what was going on because apparently you were spectating and then I backed off. And my teammate seemed to be on a pub account because he didn't join so idk. That was fun though, but that aiming glitch is really annoying though agh. Senor potato everywhereeee
Oh, no worries, GG, thanks for the reply! Sorry for hanging back, your name sounded familiar and I wanted to see if you were a forumer, plus I was actually kind of tired. At the time I had just come off a pretty funny game, where a guy with a VERY inappropriate name was really ticked because I owned him 2v1 with a Capital Pains test set, and despite his spirited meleeing of my dead body, he repeatedly got Eagled and T-bag taunted in return. I was still too busy laughing over the arena names he was creating in response to me on the server list, to put up a decent fight against you anyways. xDDDD
I felt really bad when me, Hackey, Cata, and Strafe landed together on the same team against you on your own. xD Thank goodness I crashed at the beginning of the match. GGs last night! I was testing some Flamethrower setups.
