Doesn't kill a sniper in a full clip without crits or damage augs or anything even
50 base damage less then SP AR
Has a lower dps then SP AR by 120 if it had 0.5s cooldown instesd of 0.6s
Has a lower range
Has auto aim so it doesn't deal latency damage
Kills anything but riggs without crits or damage augs
160 base damage 110 more then SP pistol
Has a higher DPS
Has a higher range
No auto aim so it deals latency damage
You clearly have little idea what you are talking about. First of all, using damage per second here makes no sense considering that the sp pistol can just barely not shoot two rounds a second. Do damage over three seconds, and you will see why sp pistol is so dangerous. Taking crits out of the equation is also pretty illogical, since sp pistol has a high crit rate and they do allow it to kill astoria in a single magazine. The steampunk sniper can also kill Riggs fairly easily with a single magazine.
Your use of the phrase 'base damage' is also inconsistent.
From the looks of what you said, you seem to be talking about the SP SR, not the SP AR.
'Latency' damage also does not exist. It is a myth. The reason it appears to happen with snipers is because they have no auto aim and a non-hitscan projectile, which combined with even small amounts of lag gives this illusion. In reality, their projectiles operate similarly to almost every other weapon.
Other things that aren't taken into account is ease of use, sp sniper has a high skill cap while sp pistol has an enormous autoaim snap, huge range, and high accuracy. It's among the lowest skill cap weapons in the game but it retains immense damage, high range, and a fast reload (it is also a secondary).
I agree that sp sniper is broken as well, however, trying to argue via cherrypicking about things you do not even understand is no way to support your case.
@Dujuran @AbsoluteZero in my experiences while playing the three iterations of the game, Standard, Steampunk and Viperifle snipers have used hitscan bullets and I wouldn't be surprised if the other two also used hitscan bullets. It might be lag on the end of the player being shot that gives them a disadvantage. The damage has a 100% chance of being dealt even if there is lag present. And not putting any consideration into critical damage is illogical when the Steampunk weapons have the highest crit chance out of all the weapons in the game.
I made a 2nd mistake AR should be SR
Latency does exist the fact you said that it deals damage because of lag that in the simplist form is latency
Disagree i'm well aware about crits but i decided to ignore that factor because both get it the only difference is that it gives a chance to 1 clip a sniper with pistol while it's a 100% chance to kill them with SP SR if you hit all shots respectively
I did just see this post but uhh
No no it doesn't i meant SR i just said that and yes that does do 160 damage i even went on bbo to check the stats of each pistol and SR and have ss of it check yourself
You know what I love about the BB forums? You guys. I get to know the memes trending earlier than most others. Today, about time I officially go to school, people are still talking about Harambe like if it came out yesterday. I love memes before they become cool.
School starts tomorrow...
Welp I am officially done with SkyVu. I used to thought SkyVu would pay attention to us but no. They pushed all their fans away so far that people are leaving the forums now. The ONLY SkyVu employee I see trying their best is Trang. He's been the only one I've seen here. I'm sorry guys but I'm done with you.
What do you mean by skyvu hasn't done anything we've not had anything big sure but we have had at least a bbg update just because bbo hasn't got anything in 2 months doesn't mean much because bbg hadn't gotten any new content in almost a year until poptart shurikens which is the most OP weapon in bb history
I agree. I miss the old SkyVu without a doubt. I understand they're trying, but they became stuck-up in their own creation. I'm pretty sure they're trying to become a money machine that doesn't entirely work.
Oh, well. Good luck in your school year!
