Old BBG Veteran here

MrRoadrash12MrRoadrash12 Member, SkyVu Beta Tester Posts: 247 Recruit
Hey guys it's Roadrash here, I've been playing BBG back when it was called BBR. Yikes! I'm old.

It's been a year and a half since I quit BBG. Ever since I've built my own PC and now play Overwatch, PUBG, Rocket league and G-mod. My question to you guys: what games did you start playing after BBG?

I would like to let skyvu know that I loved all of their Battle Bears games(yes even BBO) and thanks for making my childhood awesome with such memorable games.

Kind Regards,
-MrRoadrash12

Wow, you came back at about the same time as I do. Well, since economically I'm not as good as a lot of you guys seem to be, I mostly depend on cheap and free games. Lately I've been playing TF2 a lot doing some contracts here and there, and surprising a lot of Hotline Miami. I've always ignored that game and now it's probably in my favorites. The soundtrack and gameplay is just amazing.

Kind of planning to buy CS:GO soon.

    I remember you, hi!

For multiplayer I now play primarily Dirty Bomb. But I'm also currently playing XCOM2 and Divinity Original Sin .

Roadrash and Dugong!!! :D Welcome back!

I built a PC too and do most of my gaming stuff on it, but I still play BBG casually to this day. (Taking a small break at the moment to wait for the overall toxicity of the playerbase to die down a bit.) Very busy with life and school nowadays, but running the home-hosted Minecraft server I've been maintainng since before BBR's launch takes up a lot of my free time. It's a very chill private server that tries to keep the Alpha/Beta spirit of the game alive in these dark Microsoft-and-kiddo-dominated times.

Thanks to my experiences with the server and with the Bearacks, I've been able to get into the computer industry. There's this one IT class I'm taking that's leaving almost everyone else in the dust due to its fast paced coverage of a huge variety of techie topics, but I've been able to practically sleep through half the lectures because I already know 90% of the stuff that's being covered. The BB community is directly responsible for much of that experience and knowledge. :) Sincerely super thankful to everyone here still for helping me develop my life's interests further, I probably wouldn't have picked the right major without this community's support.

Nah, I don't own a pc. I have a laptop instead. I'm going to go to uni so I'm going to need portability.

And if you're asking why I'm going to uni, well, universities are much cheaper here, and a degree is super ****ing important these days. Besides, I'm pretty confident I can get a scholarship.

@MrRoadrash12 thanks for coming back. All of you actually. This is an interesting thread in that it seems many of you have moved into PC gaming. This is relevant because we actually might start the closed beta on Steam first because the new server technology we're building on isn't ready yet for mobile. So if you have a Steam account, please let me know and join our Facebook.com/groups/bbbeta private group if you can. Be sure to mention you have a Steam account.

@SkyVu_Ben Although mobile gaming is the future and SkyVu's always specialized in pushing the boundaries of the platform, I love the idea of more PC ports in the future if it'd be possible and feasible for the company.

Guilty confession: I was a little disappointed when you guys went mostly into mobile VR, for the sole reason that it would have been so epic to play BBG on the Vive. ;) *imagines flailing around with chainsaws for hands*

I remember BBR. Can't even remember what the original logo was. Was it red or blue idek. But they were fun times :)

I only remember that a Demo icon was on BBR. The game I played next was league of legends. Now I play Path of Exile. It's that game where all you think about is "min-maxing" your stats haha. Haven't been on BBG for a long time. I've kept all the apps I played from when I was an angsty 13yr old for nostalgia purposes. All the grinding, all the fun times. I'm now 19.
